8th March 2008
Windsurfing: Fekixstowe Dip
Wind Direction: SSW
Wind Stength: 16
Surf / Sea State: fairly choppy but OK
Air Temperature: 8.5
Sea Temperature: 8
Weather: cloud
Max Speed: 24.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 28 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Saw Squiz white van at the Dip so I also launched for there. Sailed for a couple of hours more or less non-stop. Most of the time was nicely powered on 6m and towards the wind picked up to be better but I was getting cold and tired by then so packed up whilst I was ahead. It was really nice running in and out, though I had to work most of the time to keep up wind on the incoming tide. Once it turned it was easier. Apparently it was harder at the Golf so Dip was right launching place with a longer run out until I hit the river current, maybe a km. GPS tells me I did 62 gybes in a couple of hours. Funny, I would have thought more. I enjoyed it and would be 5star if a bit more wind, and I got cold today. About five kiters out and looked like 7 or 8 boards.
